Job Description 

  • The General Manager oversees daily business activities and is accountable for effective planning, delegating, coordinating, staffing, organizing, and decision-making to achieve desired business outcomes. 
  • The GM is in charge of managing the region’s revenue and cost elements, also known as profit and loss responsibility.

Responsibilities of General Manager (Sales) at Seven Up Bottling Company

  • Creates and controls budgets
  • Direct and coordinate departmental activities.
  • Examines financial records, production and sales reports, and other performance data to assess productivity and pinpoint areas for improvement.
  • Ensure maximum machine efficiency and production productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and requirements.
  • Ensures effective cost management and accurate reporting.
  • Enables workforce optimization.
  • Develop a dynamic, engaged, and capable workforce through a strong performance-driven culture, training, and mentoring.
  • Provide strategic leadership and collaboration to ensure that business objectives are met across all reporting activities.
  • Prepares and provides accurate, informative, and timely reports to top management.
  • Researches, identifies, creates, and implements growth plans
  • Improve the organization’s image and establish strong relationships with external stakeholders such as suppliers, regulatory authorities, and distributors.
  • Proactively monitor sales and distribution activities to ensure effective and enough supply of completed goods and optimum deployment of transportation to facilitate distribution to consumers

Requirements for General Manager (Sales) 

  • A Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma in Business Administration or a similar discipline is required.
  • MSc / MBA is a must.
  • A minimum of 9 to 12 years of work experience in an FMCG or manufacturing organization is required.
  • Expertise in accounting, financial data analysis, and industry procedures.
  • Logic and reasoning are used to discover the advantages and disadvantages of various problem solutions.
  • Determine how monies will be spent to complete the work and account for these expenditures.
  • Ability to communicate coherently with superiors, peers, and subordinates by e-mail, phone, in-person, and other means.
  • Understanding the organization’s manufacturing processes, goods, and machinery
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource modeling, leadership strategies, and people-resource coordination
