Role Accountabilities
- Support the organization’s ESG strategy and Energy Transition Plan through research, planning, and implementation, as well as monitoring and reporting.
- Collect, analyze, and evaluate data on carbon emissions and other sustainability parameters.
- Support the annual development of ESG/Sustainability Report(s) with new design and communication techniques.
- Keep up to date on relevant legislation and ESG policies for the organization.
- Collaborate with the Risk function of OpCos to create an ESG risk management framework for ongoing monitoring.
- Create and implement a communication plan for sustainability reporting and initiatives.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to discover opportunities for reducing emissions while also promoting responsible and sustainable business practices.
- Identify gaps in sustainability procedures and provide new ideas to improve the organization’s sustainability performance.
- Manage a portfolio of sustainability projects and track progress
- Policy research and development.
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in environmental or social sciences, or a related discipline.
- At least 7 years of post-NYSC experience in a relevant role(s).
- Strong commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent innovative communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to collaborate in a worldwide, cross-functional team.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software is desired.
- Demonstrates the ability to meet deadlines, decide priorities, and organize work to fulfill objectives, as well as recognize and solve difficulties.
- Ability to establish strong relationships with both external parties and internal colleagues.
