Key Responsibilities of Patient Experience Officer (Healthcare) at Alpha Mead Group
1. Patient Engagement & Communication
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients’ issues, feedback, and requests.
- Educate patients and families about hospital regulations, procedures, and support resources.
- Conduct regular patient rounds to collect input and fix issues in real time.
2. Enhanced Service Quality
- Metrics for patient experience should be monitored and evaluated, and improvements should be recommended.
- Collaborate with medical and administrative teams to improve service delivery.
- Implement and manage patient satisfaction surveys, analyze data, and create action plans.
3. Complaint Resolution and Conflict Management
- Handle patient complaints professionally and expedite resolution.
- Unresolved issues should be escalated to the relevant department, and followed up on until they are resolved.
- Keep accurate records of complaints, resolutions, and service improvements.
4. Training and Staff Support
- Collaborate with medical teams to encourage empathy and effective communication.
- Help to build patient experience policies and best practices.
5. Coordination and Reporting.
- Create reports on patient satisfaction and service quality for management evaluation.
- Coordinate with many departments to ensure a smooth patient journey.
- Stay current with industry best practices and suggest new ways to improve patient care.
Qualifications for Patient Experience Officer (Healthcare) at Alpha Mead Group
- A bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, business administration, nursing, or a closely connected subject.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in healthcare, patient relations, or customer service.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Knowledge of hospital procedures and patient rights.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, emotionally charged setting.
Preferred skills:
- Experience with patient complaints and feedback management.
- Experience with hospital accreditation standards and regulatory regulations.
- Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools.
Working Environment:
- Primarily hospital-based, with contact spanning many departments.
- Work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
