Job Description.
The Accounts Officer will handle all financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and generate data/reports. This position requires inside and outward invoicing, as well as payment advancement. Significant relevant experience with general financial duties is required. To guarantee that monthly stock counts are properly and punctually valued, a variance report is prepared, and the budget is monitored.
Key Responsibilities for Restaurant Accountant at The Place Restaurant
- Data is processed through the sales and buy ledgers from the time an invoice is received until the transaction is completed.
- Reconciliation of bank statement with payment voucher, purchase and sales ledgers.
- Processing financial transactions with Sage and other accounting software.
- Determining the costs of performance, functions, and activities in a way that allows for analysis and valid comparisons across time periods using established criteria.
- Monthly stock valuation, stock taking, reconciliation, and budget monitoring.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and inter-branch accounts. Reconciliation.
Qualifications
An ideal applicant should
- Have a maximum of HND in accounting.
- Have at least a year of cognate experience.
- Excel data analytics skills are required, as well as the ability to work independently.
- Be attentive, with a great eye for detail.
- Have the ability to operate in a fast-paced and demanding setting.
- Must be computer literate. With commendable use of standard office applications, the Microsoft operating system, and accounting applications such as NAV, SAGE-Peachtree, Quick book, Daceasy, and others.
- Must live or be ready to relocate to Wuse, Abuja.
