The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and strategic State Coordinator to take ownership of our operations in Jos. This is a career-defining role for someone who thrives at the intersection of program delivery, fundraising, and high-level stakeholder engagement. You won’t just manage projects—you will shape GPD’s presence in the state, drive resource mobilization, and forge partnerships that create real, measurable change.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead Operations: Oversee daily state-level activities, ensuring full compliance with GPD policies and donor requirements.
- Drive Fundraising: Proactively scan for calls for proposals, develop compelling concept notes, and lead resource mobilization efforts to sustain and grow our impact.
- Manage Programs: Supervise project implementation from start to finish, reviewing all activity reports and concept notes before they reach Program Managers and donors.
- Forge Partnerships: Initiate and facilitate strategic engagements with government bodies, donors, and civil society organizations across the state.
- Oversee Research: Lead rapid needs assessments, baseline studies, and policy brief development to inform programming and income generation.
- Manage Finance & People: Oversee state-level financial reporting and appraise personnel performance to ensure a high-performing, accountable team.
What You Bring:
- Education: HND or Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in project management, community development, or related fields—ideally within the non-profit/NGO sector.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage multiple priorities without missing deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Strategic Mindset: A track record of developing and implementing successful initiatives that solve real-world problems.
