Sa’ianwara ‘I’jumai Consultaire Limited (SCL) is a 100% indigenous limited liability Agro-Allied corporation incorporated in 2010. SCL is committed to altering the agriculture scene and contributing to the sustainable development of Nigeria with concentration on Environment, Crops, Livestock and People.

Our Farm-Farmer School based in our 100-hectare farm provides practical training in regenerative agriculture to farmers, institutions, policymakers, trainers and extension workers. We believe in the revival of the lost grandeur of Agriculture as a critical sector for sustenance of the Nigerian people.

Purpose of the Role

The Data Analyst will be responsible for end-to-end data management—from form design and data collection to analysis, visualization, and reporting—ensuring data quality, integrity, and usability for program, operational, and strategic needs.

Scope of Work & Key Responsibilities

1. CommCare Form Design & Data Collection Systems

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of CommCare applications and forms
  • Manage user roles, permissions, and application deployment
  • Provide technical support and training to field teams on CommCare usage
  • Integrate CommCare data with external systems and databases where required
  • Implement data quality controls (constraints, required fields, skip logic, and calculations)
  • Translate program requirements into logical data models, workflows, and validation rules

2. Data Management & Analytics

  • Clean, process, and analyze data from multiple sources (CommCare, Excel, databases, APIs)
  • Support ad hoc analytical requests from management and program teams
  • Conduct descriptive, diagnostic, and trend analysis to generate actionable insights
  • Develop indicators, metrics, and analytical frameworks aligned with program objectives
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, privacy, and governance standards

3. Power BI Dashboard Development

  • Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for real-time and periodic reporting
  • Customize dashboards for different stakeholders (management, donors, program teams)
  • Document dashboards, metrics definitions, and data sources
  • Build efficient data models, DAX calculations, and measures
  • Automate data refreshes and ensure dashboard performance optimization

4. Reporting & Decision Support

  • Support Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) activities with data-driven evidence
  • Translate complex data findings into clear insights for non-technical audiences
  • Contribute to donor and management reporting requirements
  • Produce high-quality analytical reports, briefs, and presentations

5. Capacity Building & Collaboration

  • Mentor junior analysts and data officers
  • Develop data standards, SOPs, and documentation
  • Collaborate with IT, GIS, MEL, and program teams to align data solutions
  • Support integration with GIS tools

  • Clean, well-structured datasets and data pipelines
  • Interactive Power BI dashboards and automated reports
  • Fully functional and documented CommCare forms and applications

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Geography, Agriculture, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field
  • Master’s Degree in any of the above fields is an added advantage

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in data analytics or data management roles
  • Proven experience in CommCare form and application design
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dashboard design)
  • Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources
  • Prior experience in development, health, agriculture, or humanitarian programs is an advantage

Technical Skills

  • CommCare: Advanced form logic, app management, deployment
  • Power BI: DAX, Power Query, data modeling, dashboard design
  • SQL: Proficiency in database querying and management
  • Python: Data cleaning, analysis, and automation
  • Excel: Advanced proficiency for data processing and analysis
  • Databases: Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL is an advantage
  • Knowledge of data protection and information security principles
