We are now recruiting a highly experienced, safety-focused Superintendent Rotary and Fixed Wing to join our team in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. 

This is a key leadership post with the responsibility of ensuring safe, secure and efficient air transport for the offshore and onshore operations of Renaissance .

Responsibilities

• Direct Renaissance aviation workers and contractors in Port-Harcourt and Warri to produce EP “Must Wins” for Logistics.

• Provide safe and efficient offshore/onshore helicopter services while managing corporate aircraft, heliports, helidecks, and support facilities in accordance with national regulations and the IOGP 690 series of standards.

· Ensure that all Renaissance aviation employees and contractors strive for “Goal Zero” and are committed to following the nine IOGP Life Saving Rules.

• Hold and manage Renaissance helicopter contracts in accordance with the Company’s competency and commercial needs.

• Manage and prioritise helicopter operations in order to make the most use of available resources.

• Effectively communicate with clients and contractors, establishing task requirements and explaining any limits caused by weather, aircraft resources, or other factors.

• Coordinate with the NCAA and other national aviation agencies to ensure that relevant licenses, permits, and permissions are maintained.

• Participate in industry-wide projects to develop SAR, Multilateration, GPS methods, and automatic weather reporting.

• Collaborate with Logistics Integration Management to maximise resource pooling opportunities and ensure effective cost recovery.

• Ensure prompt assistance for emergency medevac and evacuation operations.

• Inspect helipads, helidecks, and other aviation facilities in conformity with national and IOGP 697 standards.

• Work with the remotely piloted aircraft service (RPAS) SME and stakeholders to ensure that RPAS activities conform with NCAA regulations and adhere to the IOGP 696 standard.

• Perform routine monitoring of RPAS operators’ progress.

• Provide technical help to RPAS providers by integrating drones with helicopters, pipeline/security surveillance, and discovering system optimisation options within their deployed tools/equipment to maximise value for Renaissance.

• Support audit programs involving aviation contractors, heliports, helipads, and helidecks, and help asset owners in completing audit activities.

• Offer guidance and help during aviation-related incident investigations and corrective action plans.

• Consult with industry stakeholders on safety, technical, and audit issues.

• Keep detailed records of aviation audits, suggestions, incidents, findings, actions, and deviations utilising business resources.

• Provide aviation technical support for new projects and upgrades to current facilities.

• Organise firm air services contract meetings at least quarterly, and facilitate annual contract business performance reviews.

• Monitor SLA/CTR, chargeback, and cross-charge on a monthly basis.

Requirements

·      Current or former holder of Air Transport Pilot’s Licence (Helicopters) and Instrument Rating, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a commercial pilot. OR, Current or former Approved Maintenance Certificate holder Part 66. B1 or B2 with at least 10 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance. OR Safety/Quality Manager, with at least 10 years aviation experience.

•        Experience as a training captain, flight safety officer, management pilot, chief engineer, S&Q manager or air accident investigator. 

•        Experience of negotiating and managing contracts.

•        Experience as an aviation adviser or auditor.
