Job Description
- We are looking for an experienced and proactive Head of Logistics to oversee and manage all logistics activities in our organisation.
- This position is in charge of monitoring the design, coordination, and implementation of supply chain and distribution strategies, assuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
- The ideal applicant will have a track record of leading logistics teams, streamlining procedures, and meeting key operational benchmarks.
Primary responsibilities and obligations.
Key responsibilities for Head of Logistics at Eat ‘N’ Go Limited
- Lead the logistics team in planning and carrying out all warehousing, transportation, and distribution operations.
- Create and implement logistics strategies to improve inventory flow, lower costs, and enhance the customer experience.
- Oversee the supply chain’s daily operations, which include procurement, transportation, warehousing, and order fulfilment.
- Maintain relationships with essential suppliers, third-party vendors, and transportation partners to ensure top-notch service and cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery time, cost reduction, and inventory turnover to ensure logistics operations fulfil organisational objectives.
- Implement continuous improvement activities to streamline logistics processes, minimise waste, and increase efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable logistics requirements, safety standards, and best practices.
- Develop and manage the logistics budget, anticipating spending and ensuring conformity with the company’s overall goals.
- Coordinate with other departments (such as Sales, Manufacturing, IT, and Customer Service) to maintain consistent communication and alignment on logistical operations.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development for the logistics staff.
- Monitor and manage logistics risks, and respond quickly to operational difficulties.
Qualifications for Head of Logistics at Eat ‘N’ Go Limited
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a similar discipline (master’s degree is preferred).
- 7+ years of logistics experience, including at least three years in a senior or management position.
- A solid understanding of logistics technologies, supply chain management, and warehousing.
- Proven expertise managing logistics operations, improving supply chain efficiency, and implementing cost-cutting measures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to impact stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to make data-driven decisions.
- Experience working with logistics software, TMS (Transportation Management Systems), WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and ERP systems.
- Capability to manage and prioritise various tasks and projects in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of international shipping and import/export regulations (where relevant).

- Any other duties and obligations that the GMD/CEO may designate from time to time.

- Weekly/monthly reports on logistics, maintenance, etc.
