Job Title: Senior Android / Kotlin Engineer (Web3 – Trading)
The Opportunity
- You’ll help deliver the next generation of the Trust Wallet application with a focus on product quality, reliability, and innovation.
- We’re looking for an experienced Android Engineer passionate about building secure, high-performance crypto products used by millions.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Architecture: Collaborate on solution architecture and contribute to high-impact technical decisions.
- Technology Adoption: Stay up-to-date with Android and Web3 technologies and drive their adoption across the team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with backend, blockchain, and product teams to ship secure client-server features.
- Code Quality: Ensure code quality through tests, design reviews, and performance improvements.
- End-to-End Ownership: Own the development, maintenance, and migration of Android features from conception to deployment.
What We Look For in You
Technical Expertise:
- Local Storage: Experience with Realm, SQLite, or Room.
- Modern Android Stack: Strong knowledge of Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flow, and Architecture Components.
- Version Control: Solid Git/GitFlow experience and understanding of Gradle.
- Dependency Injection: Experience with DI frameworks (Hilt/Koin) and modular architecture.
- Networking: Experience building client-server features and working with REST/gRPC/WebSockets.
- Testing: Experience writing automated tests (unit, integration, UI).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of Android development using Kotlin.
- Core Concepts: Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization.
Bonus Points
We build products for crypto users, so we strongly prefer engineers who are crypto users themselves. Ideal candidates are active participants in the Web3 ecosystem who bring firsthand product intuition to their engineering decisions.
- Kotlin Multiplatform development for iOS and JS.
- Experience architecting SDKs and open source libraries.
- Experience with CI/CD for Android and Gradle plugins.
- Experience with Web3, blockchain SDKs, key management, and cryptography.
- Knowledge of app security, secure storage, and sensitive data handling.
