Job Summary
AAVA Brands Limited is looking for a technically skilled and safety-conscious Generator Operator to manage and operate industrial generators at its production factory in Lagos.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring reliable power supply to support uninterrupted plant operations. This includes operating industrial generators, monitoring generator performance, carrying out routine inspections, performing basic preventive maintenance, and identifying potential technical faults.
Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate generator operating logs, including running hours, fuel consumption, and maintenance records.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and operational procedures when handling generator equipment.
- Support maintenance activities and work with relevant technical personnel to ensure equipment reliability.
- Be available to work shifts when required to support continuous factory operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
Interested applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of two (2) years of practical experience operating industrial generators in a production or manufacturing factory.
- Relevant technical qualification, such as an Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Trade Test certificate, or vocational certification.
- Educational or technical background in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Sound knowledge of industrial generator operations.
- Good understanding of generator control panels, start-up and shutdown procedures, and power changeover systems.
- Ability to understand and monitor technical parameters, including voltage, current, frequency, load, engine temperature, and oil pressure.
- Practical knowledge of routine generator inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
- Ability to carry out first-line troubleshooting and identify abnormal generator operating conditions.
- Knowledge of fuel consumption monitoring, oil level checks, and coolant level checks.
- Ability to maintain accurate generator operating logs and maintenance records.
- Strong commitment to operational safety.
- Willingness and ability to work shifts when required.
